A new woodland creation project for Hugh Fearnly – Whittingstall. We have nearly 1500 native trees and shrubs with rides and a glade running through the site and a pond which will be planted with wild flowers around the edges. I have laid compost around all of the plants, this will stem weed growth and add nutrients to the soil once washed in over time.
When we first planted these conifer the Deer were a real issue but we now apply Trico every 6 months to keep them away from the trees. It’s a really affective way to get conifers established in high Deer populated areas.
